AOV Windows

SHEVs (Smoke and Heat Exhaust Ventilation) or AOVs are critical parts of any buildings fire safety requirements. AOVs allow you to integrate automatic windows, using actuators, to offer a source of ventilation which builds into an optimised fire safety system. They are designed to be trigged by smoke or heat as part of a detection system. In the event of a fire, smoke is often the larger threat than the fire itself, causing difficulties for those fighting the fire and those trying to evacuate. As AOVs automatically open, and are built into the most structurally sound parts of the building, AOVs allow the smoke to rise above escape routes, giving improved visibility, and allowing quick and easy access to the building. This means earlier firefighting, better safety and reduced damage to the building.

With a long standing partnership with SE Controls, we are able to offer fully tested and compliant SHEV or AOV windows. Our core system is based on the Technal product, but we have made AOVs in a wide range of tested solutions including Seniors, Reynaers and Metal Technology. All of our AOV products are fully tested in the factory, and factory fit with their actuators. We are independently audited twice a year, to be able to offer AOVs fully complaint with EN 12101-2.
