Project Description
Liberty Wharf is a contemporary canal side development of 140 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. Set in landscaped grounds the site is bordered by the Grand Union Canal and is central to an active regeneration programme.
The development combines residential suburban living with the benefits of great access, it’s just a ten-minute walk to Alperton station, leisure facilities and a wide range of amenities are just a short distance away. The apartments are designed to maximise this location and make the most of the far-reaching views and tranquil yet bustling setting.
To achieve this, A Plus Aluminium was appointed to manufacture and supply a selection of fenestration products: 250no. Technal Dualframe SI casement windows and 140no. Dualframe balcony doors.
A combination of slim sightlines and expanse of glass allows natural light to flood the interior. The thermal performance of both the windows and doors helps to keep warm air in and cold air out, while sound insulation enhances the living experience.
The aluminium frames were powder coated in RAL 8104M a rich brown tone chosen to harmonise with the brick façade.
Internally, A Plus Aluminium supplied ST II communal doors and automatic opening vent systems.
The development also includes retail units for which A Plus supplied the Technal E52 curtain wall. This proved a challenging area to fabricate and install due to an acute angle with glass-on-glass corner design.
